"I have a special bond with Megan Simpson. When I first met Megan, I had just been approved to foster. She welcomed me with open arms. Meghan helped me get ready for my first placement by giving me all the supplies I was missing to make the transition of new children into my home. She offered things I hadn’t even thought of. What a lifesaver. Through these few years, Meghan has helped me in many situations, supplying needs for the children, helping me personally with the difficulties that will arise, and being a shoulder to lean on, to cry on, which I have used many times. I feel I would be lost without the Rise Foundation and their continuing support."

Without their kindness and giving hearts, we don’t know what we’d do. They have watched us grow in our fostering journey from fostering 0-5, to taking in high-risk teens… and that’s where the real support comes in. The ladies at RISE have changed lives in ways they may not even realize. We have called on the foundation multiple times over the span of 18 months to support our teen population. They have put smiles on some of the hardest kids- kids from the street, coming off drugs, sex trafficked, abused, and suffering from mental health disorders. Offering them bedding, snacks, a new pair of shoes, clothing or even as simple as their favorite shampoo! That one visit to The RISE Foundation made all the difference. The youth are walking out with bags of items they can call their own, and for that, we are forever grateful.”
